Key outcomes

01

InvestNow’s first end-to-end digital stock-trading capability

02

Funding, buy, sell and withdrawal journeys brought into one product

03

Existing securities portfolios made visible inside InvestNow

04

Reusable foundation established for digital IPO subscriptions

01 / Context

The product situation.

InvestNow supported fund-based investing but did not offer a complete equities journey inside its core product. Customers needed a connected path from securities onboarding and account funding to order placement and portfolio visibility.

02 / Problem

What needed to change.

The absence of an integrated trading journey limited the platform’s product breadth and forced customers to move between separate experiences to manage securities.

03 / My responsibility

What I personally owned.

  • Owned the end-to-end product definition for funding, buying, selling and withdrawing.
  • Defined securities onboarding, portfolio linking, order states and customer-facing risk disclosures.
  • Led UAT, defect prioritisation and release-readiness coordination.

04 / Research and evidence

How I reduced uncertainty.

  • Mapped the full trading journey and its dependencies across brokerage, funding and portfolio systems.
  • Used UAT and QA feedback to identify order-state integrity, error-message and provisioning risks.
  • Reviewed operational and regulatory requirements with securities, compliance and risk teams.

05 / Constraints

The boundaries were real.

  • Order states had to remain accurate across customer, brokerage and operational systems.
  • Securities onboarding required KYC, risk disclosure and account-provisioning controls.
  • The experience had to fit the wider InvestNow architecture rather than behave like a separate app.

06 / Decisions and trade-offs

The choices I made.

  • Treated funding, trading and portfolio visibility as one connected customer journey.
  • Prioritised state clarity and recovery messaging over adding secondary trading features.
  • Linked existing securities portfolios into InvestNow to reduce fragmentation for current customers.

07 / Delivery and collaboration

How the work moved.

I coordinated design, engineering, securities, compliance, risk and operations. Dedicated UAT covered onboarding, funding, buy and sell flows, withdrawals, error states and live-environment provisioning before launch.

08 / Results

What the work enabled.

  • InvestNow’s first end-to-end digital stock-trading capability
  • Funding, buy, sell and withdrawal journeys brought into one product
  • Existing securities portfolios made visible inside InvestNow
  • Reusable foundation established for digital IPO subscriptions

09 / What I learned

The judgement I carried forward.

Trading trust is built through state integrity. Clear order status, disclosures and operational recovery paths matter as much as the order-placement interaction.
